Due to family and work commitments there will unfortunately not be a poetry prompt this week. However, there is no need to worry for it will return next week. I’ll also be making some major changes in the run-up to September to make this website bigger and better as well as a major drive to recruit more poets to join the weekly cues. In the meantime, I will go back through the previous prompts and visit any websites I somehow missed. I encourage anyone with a bit of time to do the same.

Thank you for all you do with these poetry prompts and your encouraging comments. I really appreciate you help as I attempt to actually write half decent poetry.

ad idea that I thought you might try – how about guest prompts? you can have someone else take over writing prompt duties until you have time, just an idea

I will be back to business as usual in the next couple of days. There have been unforeseen circumstances in my personal life which have had to be dealt with but time is coming back to me now.

Whatever is happening in your life right now I hope it is all resolved and that you will be back with us very soon. I miss your fantastic work.
I also wanted to say thank you for giving me inspiration to write again. I have not written anything for years and thanks to you, I’m back on track and can already see the change in what I do. When I was creating my new blog going back over everything I’ve done, I found it absolutely incredible as to how your style of writing changes. I guess it’s the age old thing of gaining more experience in life and just being at ease with your own style – I’ve always been a free spirit in how I write anyway, but just doing the weekly prompts has made me focus on subjects I wouldn’t normally write about. This has been a fantastic experience so far and hope it continues. In fact, if there are times like this when other things need to take priority, I would be more than happy to step in and help out when needed to continue with the prompts.
Anyway, long ramble over, hope that everything resolves itself and that you will be back with us very soon.
